Lowrider arte (or “art” in the English spelling) is a unique style of art, developed over the last several decades. It is deeply connected to the California Chicano/Mexican culture – thus the frequently-used mixed English/Spanish spelling. Influences on the artistic style include tattoo art (especially in the popular line drawing version of lowrider arte), and graffiti art with its spray techniques.
Subject matter is wide-ranging in lowrider art, but frequently-seen themes include gorgeous cars, beautiful women, Christian iconography, clowns, skulls, flags, birds and much more.

Beach cruiser bicycles are a crossover bike phenomenon. Due to their classic nature, they appeal to fans of lowrider bikes, fixed gear bikes, and all-around traditionalists. They can appear old-fashioned, modern, or completely tricked-out. What beach cruiser bicycles do tend to share in common are the balloon-style tires and a beautiful sweep to the frame design.

Over the decades, certain models have become the most common lowrider cars. The Chevrolet Impala (seen here), either hardtop or convertible, has long been one of the most common lowrider cars, especially the 1964 and earlier models.
